Name Picker: Random Team Maker -
Save a group of names per class, pick at random with no repeats, or make teams.
Name Picker is a random name picker that keeps a separate group of names for each class, club or event. Pick one name or several from the group you choose, with no repeats: a name that has been drawn is left out of the draws that follow, so nobody is called twice in the same session. The same names can also be shuffled into random teams.
📋 A saved group for every class
• Make a group for each class, club or event and switch between groups whenever you like
• Add, edit and delete names at any time
• Enter the same name more than once when a person should have extra entries
• Groups are saved on your device, so the list is there the next time you open the app
🎯 Pick one name or several
• Choose how many names to pick per draw
• The names spin like a slot reel, then stop on the result in large text
• Names already drawn are skipped, and the screen shows how many are left
• Reset puts everyone back in so you can start over
👥 Random teams
• Set the number of teams and the whole group is shuffled into them
• Team sizes differ by at most one person
🕘 Draw history
• Each draw is saved with the group name, the date and the time
• View it newest first or oldest first. The 200 most recent draws are kept
Who uses it
• Teachers, as a random student picker for calling on students, choosing helpers or setting the order of presentations
• Coaches and friends, as a random team generator for practice, PE class or game night
• Event hosts drawing several winners for door prizes or a raffle, with no name drawn twice
• Offices and clubs deciding who presents next or who is on cleaning duty
Ads and your data
• The names you enter and your draw history stay on your device and are not sent anywhere. No account is needed.
• Name Picker is supported by ads. You can turn them off for good with a single purchase. There is no subscription.
• Name Picker is not a contest or a lottery. No tickets, entry fees or prizes are involved. It only picks names from your list.
